1. Candidates appearing for the 1^st time or re-attempting the test taken previously can choose from the options below:
2. NQT is a prerequisite. Candidates could have either appeared in October 2020 or candidates who want to appear, must choose NQT to select other variants.
3. Candidates who have chosen Subject – “IT – Programming” will not be allowed to choose Subject – “Basic Computer Skills” and vice versa.
4. If you are a candidate, who is going to take multiple exams, then please be rest assured that your scheduled exams will not overlap.
5. Most companies expect you to have your psychometric profile ready when you apply for a job. We recommend that you take this test.
6. The test will be conducted at a TCS iON Assessment Centre and you must appear in-person at the center allocated.

• UG, PG and Diploma students in their pre-final and final year
• Students with any degree and specialisation/discipline
• Freshers with less than 2 years of experience
• Age limit – minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years

3.1. ADDITIONAL SECTION (Subject NQT)

Note : This Section is mandatory for hiring purpose. As it is already mentioned that, TCS and many other IT companies mandate Programming Skills as the part of eligibility criterion, in their selection process. Without this Subject NQT Programming, you will not be able to apply for jobs with TCS and other IT companies.

• The NQT score is an assessment of your general ability. Many companies conduct their initial selection of candidates based on their general ability scores.
• The NQT Score is valid for two years.
• There is no limit on the number of attempts. You can write the next NQT (as and when it is announced) to improve your NQT scores. The highest score from among your attempts, will be considered as your current NQT score.
• In addition, Industry NQT and Subject NQT scores can help you certify your talent in the areas that are relevant to the role that you are aspiring for.
• TCS is one of the companies that will use NQT scores for initial selection. TCS iON team is in collaboration with other corporates to acknowledge the NQT Scores, so that you can get a job in any industry or role of your choice.

National Qualifier Test (NQT) empowers aspiring candidates with a standardized, high-quality benchmark test, to assess their cognitive and general ability skills.

This year, TCS NQT 2020-2021 is going to be very different from the past year papers. In this article, we will be checking some of the highlights and insights of TCS NQT.

1. This year, TCS NQT can be conducted offline(home) as well as on-site (centre).

For the October 2020 schedule, National Qualifier Test (NQT) will be conducted in 2 modes:

1. Online Remote Proctored Assessment

2. In-Centre Assessment conducted at TCS iON Digital Zones
