Hello, my name is prakhar, and i am selected as a power programmer at infosys and all thanks to Hack with Infy Hiring Program. So, here i will be sharing my journey – back from coding rounds to PP selection.
First of all you need to register in this hiring program in order to compete in this hiring program. It offers job under two niche roles – Power Programmer & System Engineer Specialist. Power Programmer is all about full stack development whereas SES is a system-oriented job.
Round 1 : 180 minutes coding contest
You are provided 3 coding problems which you need to solve within 3 hours. Problems were of different difficulty level. As far as i remember, one was easy, one medium, and one hard.
I was able to solve 2 coding problems and hence qualified for round 2. Top 7000 students were qualified for round 2.
Round 2 : 180 minutes coding contest, web-proctored
Same as that of round 1, i solved 2.5 questions and hence was called for PPI for Power Programmer.
You may practice on Hackerrank. And if you have no experience in coding and want to start from basics, i would suggest you to see the basic coding problems on Code of geeks.
Round 3 : Skype based Interview (45 minutes)
Interview was based with an aim to test your logic building skills. At first, interviewer asked me a brief introduction about myself and then some implementation based problems on data structures and algorithms.
Following questions were asked :
1. Given a linked list check if it is palindrome or not.
I coded the solution.
2. Implement Binary Search Tree and perform deletions on BST.
I coded the solution.
Then he asked some questions on Stacks, Queues, DFS, Red Black Tree, Binary Tree, B+ tree, Shortest Path Algorithms etc.
I was able to answer most of the questions.
Later i was informed by our college TPO, and i was selected.
