I solved 3 questions (out of 6) in CODEVITA Season 8 Zone 2 and hence was directly called for f2f interview.
Here is my interview experience :
At first, they collected my application form, and finally i was called after 2 hour for my first round.
Round 1 : Technical ( Duration : 45 minutes )
It was a panel of two. They were having my application form.
Me : Greeted them with a smile.
I2 : Tell me something about yourself ?
Me : Told for about 3 minutes. It is basically a bonus question that gives you a fair chance to express yourself and create an impression. So, take your time and give it a good shot.
I2 : Ok, so you have solved 3 problems, write the code for any 2 problems?
Me : To be honest, i was not expecting that they can ask code as well hence was not prepared for that. But, somehow i explained them and they were satisfied. Though this made me nervous.
I2 : Tell me about your project(s) ?
Me : Discussion went for about 7-8 minutes. He also asked me the algorithm that i would be using in my project.
I1 : Have you done any project on machine learning or IOT.
Me : Sir, till date, i have not done any project on ML. But, i have surface knowledge about these cutting edge technologies.
I1 : Ok, no problem, then how many new technologies you know ?
Me : Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, IOT.
I1 : Great, Tell me about Deep Learning ?
Me : It came as a nightmare to me as i was only having a basic idea about Deep Learning. Told him what i know.
He was not convinced at all.
I2 : (gave me a paper and pen) Write the code for heap sort.
Me : ( Alas!! I knew that ) Wrote the code, explained him the working as well.
I2 : That’s correct ! We are done now. Do you want to ask any question ?
Me : No sir!! (I was nervous like anything, so just want to rush out from there.)
Suggestion : Always ask questions.
After 1 hour, my name was called for second round. It was a sight of relief for me.
Round 2 : HR ( Duration : 10 minutes )
HR was a lady.
I : Sagar, please have a seat.
Me : Greeted with smile (only i know how fake it was).
I : Tell me about yourself.
Me : I was prepared for such type of questions.
I : Why do you want to join us ?
Me : Told her about the achievements of TCS.
I : How will you contribute in our success ?
Me : Told (Buttering is key).
HR lady was very humble and was satisfied with my answers.
I : Are you ready to relocate ?
Me : Yes ma’am i don’t have any problem.
Last round was managerial round. It was just a formality.
After few days, results were announced via mail and I WAS SELECTED !!
