PROFILE : Power Programmer

PROGRAM : InfyTQ

PACKAGE : 8 lakhs per annum

VERDICT : Rejected

After solving 2.5 questions in InfyTQ upgrade test i was called for Power Programmer Interview. Interview was on skype. And it was a kind of nightmare for me. 

They are only to check your problem solving skills. 

Questions asked to me were : 

1. Given a file consisting of billions of characters. Read the file and for each chunk of 6 unique characters in the file map the string of all possible 6 letter chunks of unique characters to a unique value. Print the entire output.

I thought for a while, came up with a solution on Python, but he wasn’t convinced. 

2. Given a linked list find the middle element.

I gave him a solution using two pointers and he was convinced with the solution.

3. Implement merge sort but not in array, in linked list.

I was unable to code it.

They were looking for people who are exceptional in problem solving skills. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t my day.
