Hello all, My name is Subrata Roy. I had participated in CODEVITA S’8. I am not so good as far as coding is concerned. But, then too, i managed to pass all the testcases for the first question. As a result, i received an interview call from TCS. My interview was scheduled in 3rd shift (evening one). After reaching the interview venue, my name was called after a long wait of two hours.
Round 1 : Technical ( 30 minutes )
When i entered the room, i saw a lady, sitting in a chair and holding my application form.
I : Subrata, right?
Me : Yes ma’am.
She asked me to settle down.
I : So, Subrata tell me something about yourself.
Me : Answered confidently.
I : Which is your favorite programming language ?
Me : Java.
I : Then, why have not submitted your solution in Java, but in C ?
Me : Ma’am i prefer C in competitive programming.
I : When do you use Java ?
Me : In doing projects, and development part.
I : What are Servlets ?
Me : Explained.
I : What are Interfaces and where we use them ?
Me : Explained with applications.
I : Fine, write a program to check whether a number is prime or not ?
Me : I proposed O(sqrt(n)) solution.
I : Can you optimize it more ?
Me: ( Thought for a while) Sorry ma’am, I am not able to think.
Suggestion : Use Sieve Of Eratosthenes.
I : No problem, Explain me your project?
My project is based on IOT, she liked my idea and discussion went for 7-8 minutes.
I : Ok Subrata, we are done with the interview, you can wait outside.
Left the room after thanking her.
Round 2 : HR ( 20 minutes )
After few minutes i was called for HR Round, HR guy was nice and he asked following questions :
Tell me about yourself ?
What is your long term goal ?
Why you will be an asset for our company ?
Have you faced any problem today ?
Why you have only solved 1 question in Codevita ?
Ready to relocate ?
This round went very smooth for me. HR guy was impressed with my answers.
After few minutes, i was called again.
Round 3 : MR (10 minutes)
In this round, i was given a puzzle to solve and few questions related to project.
Result : Selected !!
CONFIDENCE IS KEY !!
Subrata Roy Brother Can you please mail me the Theme of the IoT project you did. It would help me a lot. I have done a Digital Internship on IoT in this lockdown period. But he did not give us any exciting project. He just taught us how to do the Home Automation project that’s it. I want to improve my IoT knowledge by doing a good project. If possible please mail me the theme or any documentation of your project to this mail [email protected]. Not only him if anyone has some good theme on Iotproject kindly mail me. I have solved one question in S9. If I was not qualified also it would help me in the future.
