Hi all,
My name is Utkarsh jain , and I am from Tier 3 college (just to give u confidence).
So I gave HackwithInfy 2020 this year. After clearing the round 1 and round 2 by solving all questions in both rounds, I managed to score the rank under 108.
As mentioned, they called me for a pre placement Interview for Power Programmer Profile.
I got mail on 21/8/20, while my interview was on 24/8/20, I was lucky otherwise some of my friends got mail just before 1 day .
So I had revised the operating system before 21 because I knew the interview is about to come. So I did all questions of CODE OF GEEKS and some questions of TAKE YOU FORWARD. I gave 2 days for this.
On 23, I revised dbms, SE, SQL queries, my introduction, project related question and script.
Finally on the day of interview
Interviewer : I have your resume but tell me something about you.
Me : I gave him a short intro —
Interviewer : write a code to reverse a doubly Linked list using recursion .. implement whole DLL with all standard functions on your IDE (in 30 minutes)
Me: (started sharing my screen) I knew the iterative approach still I try to implement it but my code was giving. Error
(After 12 minutes)
Me : sir I m Implementing this after a long time so I m facing some errors ..
Can u plz give me something else.
Interviewer: ok do the same for Singly linked list.
Me : I wrote the Singly LL program and function to reverse it (but iterative approach). In 8 minutes
(I knew that the I have some more time for coding and I messed up with last questions so I ask him to give me some more questions)
Interviewer : you have only 8 minutes left .. first think then say this.
Me : I will try .. give me.
Interviewer : he give me a number related question (similar to Armstrong number)
(I solved it in just 2 min . Then for 5 minutes he gave me different test cases and my code was perfect to handle all )
Then he asked me what was the problem in my DLL program . I told him that I got confused what should I use methods or function as I know both approach to implement DLL functions.
Then he asked me the difference between method and function
I answered it correctly
Then he asked about oops like what is oops, real example , properties.
I answered all.
Then he asked me to give definition of abstraction and encapsulation.
I answered him ,but with some mistake in encapsulation (as I didn’t revised oops )
Then he asked me about RDBMS
He give me a situation like what will u use if u have to implement a Chat app where people can connect with others.
I told him about many to many relationship.
Then he told me to explain my project.
I explained him.
Finally he asked me to ask something to him
I asked about result date.
That’s how I got ses role.
Because I lack somewhere so they didn’t give me Power programmer profile.
Tips
Learn some definition related to oops
Be calm (I was not)
COG played a important role to crack my interview. I was confused at last time, like what to do now in such less time. Someone suggested me to do FAQ from COG. And yes, it was a good suggestion.
